Cheryl Power - Headteacher My name is Cheryl, and I have over 20 years of experience in education, specialising in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. I am passionate about creating inclusive, nurturing environments where young people feel supported and empowered to succeed. With a strong background in autism and behavioural support, I have led initiatives that help students build confidence and reach their full potential. I believe in building strong, trusting relationships with students, families, and the wider community, and I am committed to ensuring every learner has access to engaging and meaningful opportunities that prepare them for the future. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors and have a keen interest in motorcycling.
Rebecca Lewis - Proprietor My name is Rebecca, and I founded a tuition company 15 years ago, which has since grown into an alternative provision and now Huntingdon House School. I am passionate about helping young people become the best version of themselves and creating opportunities for them to succeed in ways that work for them. I have competed at an international level in netball and have a real love for sport, particularly rugby. When I’m not working, you’ll often find me keeping active or enjoying time around sport.
Ashleigh Boyce - Head of Care and Welfare My name is Ash, I have over 10 years of experience working with young people across mainstream education, further education and Alternative Provision, with a particular focus on behaviour, wellbeing and supporting young people with additional needs. I am passionate about understanding the individual behind the behaviour and creating environments where young people feel safe, valued and supported to succeed. Before joining Huntingdon House, I led an Alternative Provision setting, working closely with young people, families, staff and external professionals to improve engagement and outcomes. I hold a Master’s degree in Teaching Studies, specialising in behaviour management, and strongly believe that positive relationships, consistency and high expectations can make a lasting difference to a young person’s development. Outside of work, I have a strong interest in health, fitness and wellbeing. Playing and watching sport and travelling, experiencing different cultures.
Lauren Share - Teacher My name is Lauren, and I have dedicated 14 years to teaching across primary, secondary, and specialist provisions. I am passionate about inclusion and committed to helping every student believe in their ability to succeed. I value the unique perspectives each learner brings and believe that strong, positive relationships are at the heart of a supportive and effective learning environment. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy spending time in the sun with my two daughters, watching sports, and relaxing with my family.
Rebecca Archer - Assistant SENDCo My name is Rebecca, and I have over 14 years of experience working with SEND learners in both specialist and mainstream provisions. I am passionate about inclusion and ensuring that every learner feels supported, valued, and able to achieve their full potential. I believe in creating a positive and nurturing environment where all students can thrive. In my free time, you’ll often find me enjoying the outdoors on an adventure or relaxing in a comfy chair with a good book and a cup of tea.
Louise Jackson – School Business Administrator My name is Louise, and I bring a diverse background in education, law, and a range of administrative and managerial roles. I am committed to providing high-quality support to staff, students, and families, helping to create a smooth and positive experience for everyone involved. I take pride in being approachable, organised, and supportive in all that I do. Outside of work, I enjoy gardening, reading, and spending time with my four children.
Chris Howard - Teacher My name is Chris, and I have been working in education for 12 years, with much of that time spent in specialist provisions. I am a big believer in the power of bespoke and personalised education, and empowering students through accessible and practical learning. I take a pride in in providing an informative, engaging and memorable school experience to my students, and I look forward to seeing what they will achieve. I enjoy everything from Dungeons and Dragons to computer games, as well as HEMA, swimming and hiking.
Kathryn Bloor - Teacher My name is Kathryn, and I have over 20 years of experience working with students in both primary and secondary settings. I enjoy nurturing young people to reach their own individual milestones and become successful, confident learners. I believe every student has their own path and that the right support and relationships help them grow into the young people they can be. Outside of work I love being outdoors — in the garden, out on a walk, or watching a hockey match.
Louise Butler - Teaching Assistant My name is Louise, I have over six years’ experience working as a teaching assistant, both in mainstream and specialist schools. I was also a qualified nurse with over 20 years experience in general surgery and also palliative care. I am passionate about ensuring that all students achieve their potential and become the very best version of themselves through high quality, accessible education. Outside of work, I’m a mum of four and you will probably find me on the side of a rugby pitch cheering my two sons on.
Yvonne Lemm - Teaching Assistant My name is Yvonne, I am a warm and caring person who enjoys supporting children and young people. I have experience in both primary and secondary schools, where I have worked in administration roles and supported SEND students helping them feel safe and valued. I also worked in administration in Adult Mental Health in the NHS. Spending time with family and friends is extremely important to me. I love spending time outdoors, exercising and being in the countryside.
Carolyn Stevens - HR Manager My name is Carolyn, and I have 14 years of experience working across education and human resources. I am passionate about supporting both staff and students, helping to create a positive, organised, and supportive environment where everyone can thrive. I enjoy being part of a team that makes a real difference in people’s experiences and development. Outside of work, I love cycling, baking, and getting creative with crafts. I also enjoy spending time with my dog and guinea pigs.
