Exam Pathways

At Huntingdon House School, we recognise that every student’s learning journey is unique. Our qualification pathways are therefore personalised to reflect each learner’s abilities, progress and aspirations.

Students in Key Stage 4 (Years 10–11) are supported to follow a pathway that prepares them for their next stage of education or training.

GCSE Pathway

Students who are working within Key Stage 3 or 4 programmes of study may follow a GCSE pathway, typically including:

  • English

  • Mathematics

  • Science

  • Humanities subjects

  • Creative subjects such as Art

  • Computing

Functional Skills Pathway

Students who benefit from a more practical or accessible qualification route may follow the Functional Skills pathway, which includes:

  • Functional Skills English

  • Functional Skills Mathematics

  • Entry Level Science

  • Digital Skills

Enrichment and Life Skills

Alongside qualifications, all students benefit from learning opportunities that support their wider development, including:

  • work experience

  • careers education

  • life skills and independence training

  • creative and enrichment activities
